WelcomeTHE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA GROUP VISIT POLICIES/GUIDELINES Thank you for your interest in a group visit at the University of Arizona! Group visits are an excellent opportunity to explore our beautiful campus and learn more about life as a Wildcat! We are excited to walk you through the admissions process and the programs and resources we offer. Join us for a group visit to learn what makes our campus a “home away from home” and the right University for your students. Our group visits are available October through May on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. These visits are designed for groups of 10-75 high school Junior, Senior, and Transfer students along with their chaperones. Groups smaller than 10 students are welcome to register for a Daily Campus Ambassador Tour. Visits will consist of a short welcome and a one-hour walking tour of campus led by one of our current Arizona Ambassadors. Counselors may also have the ability to select from additional sessions as available, such as a student panel. Currently, group visits are available by request only. Each group visit request requires a confirmation from one of our Tour Coordinators before booking is official. Additionally, we ask that there are no more than three requests per counselor. Requests should be made for intentional visits and not to save dates. Before requesting a group visit, please review the following information. The Office of Undergraduate Admission at the University of Arizona currently only offers Group visits for Juniors, Seniors, and Transfer students. At this time, we are not able to accommodate students in elementary, middle school, or 9th-10th grade for Group Visits. We’d be happy to pass along a Major Exploration Activity to do with your students as they start to think about their college journey as well as a self-guided tour map if you’d like to explore campus independently instead. Please feel free to email us at outreachvisit@arizona.edu to request those materials. Group visits are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, dates may be restricted due to campus and calendar conflicts. Please come prepared with visit date options when available. We will ask for preferred visit dates that you are looking to attend, but specific dates may not be available. Your reservation must be made at least two weeks in advance to your desired visit date. Arriving on time is extremely important to ensuring a great visit. Failure to arrive on time will lead to a shortened tour experience. If your group arrives more than 20 minutes late, your tour may be canceled due to time constraints. Chaperones must always accompany their group; we require one chaperone per 15 students. Chaperones are responsible for all students and will remain under their direct supervision throughout the group visit. All guests are expected to behave appropriately and professionally while visiting campus. Please review our Code of Conduct/University policies. Chaperones must have an accurate guest count during their group visit. If there is any misbehavior or destruction of property, we reserve the right to end your visit, which could result in suspending further visit opportunities. The visiting organization is liable for any damages to the University of Arizona. Please be aware that group visit requests must be made by someone directly associated with your school/organization. We will not accept group visit requests from a third party, such as a travel agency or tour planning organization. Coordinating directly with someone from your school/organization is essential for the best tour experience and the safety of everyone participating in this visit. Be advised we reserve the right to cancel tours due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances that may risk the safety of the group.
