Title: Admissions Counselor, Outreach - Transfer Phoenix
Pronouns:
Allow me to introduce myself... |
Hi! My name is Vanessa Bobadilla and I am a Transfer Admissions Counselor for Phoenix and Northern Arizona students. I am a University of Arizona alum with a BS in Psychological Sciences. I am originally from CA, but fell in love with Arizona and decided to move here permanently after graduating. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family at events around Phoenix and trying new food spots! |
What is your favorite thing about the University of Arizona? |
My favorite aspect of the University is the variety of events held at UA Mall (not an actual mall, lol). These events provide students with opportunities to engage on campus. They serve as a wonderful means for students to feel included and connected within the university community. |
What is your best advice for a prospective student? |
My advice to prospective students is to get involved on campus early and to push your boundaries. College is a time to find your identity and make long lasting relationships and memories. |
What is your best tip for college success? |
My best tip for college success is to make full use of the resources available on campus, including free tutoring, supplemental instruction, office hours, assistance with paper writing, guidance on job searching and resume building, and so much more! |
How does a student know they've found the right college fit? |
For me, I knew I was attending the right college during my first campus tour. When you are able to see yourself walking to class, living in the dorms, or grabbing a bite to eat on campus; that’s when you know the next four years are going to be special. |
What's your favorite spot on the Arizona campus? |
My favorite spot on the Arizona Campus is on University Blvd. It is a tea spot called Scented Leaf and the atmosphere was so calm. It was a great study spot and they serve some really good tea! |
