Title: Admissions Transfer Counselor, Phoenix
Pronouns: She, her, hers
Allow me to introduce myself... |
Hello! My name is Debrina Wright, and I work primarily with transfer and first year students in the East Valley. I grew up in SoCal and have lived several places, including as far as the Northeast. I have attended school on both coasts and the Midwest. Outside of work, I love to spend my time enjoying the great outdoors and food with my two kiddos. I also love sports, music, and watching British crime shows. |
What is your favorite thing about the University of Arizona? |
I love the the energy I get from everyone when I'm on campus. It's the exposure of being on a full-blown campus, but with family. The students have so many resources for growth and outlets to explore. And ZonaZoo...you just have to experience it for yourself! |
What is your best advice for a prospective student? |
EXPLORE! It's the best way to figure out what you like and who you are. Take this time to see what's out there and make lifelong friends. And tap into the best resources in front of you, your instructors. Get ready, not just for a career, but for life. |
What is your best tip for college success? |
I think the difference between an A student and a C student, is the A student uses their resources right away. Don't wait until you are behind and struggling. Use everything that was created for you to be the best student and person you can be. Plan ahead and don't stress. |
How does a student know they've found the right college fit? |
You'll know when you can't stop picturing yourself being involved and being part of the Wildat family. You'll know it's truly your home away from home, even if you're nervous. You'll know when you see your bright future is possible because of the school you decided to attend. |
What's your favorite spot on the Arizona campus? |
CampusREC is where it's at for me. Everything from sports equipment rentals, the pool, excursions, fitness classes, THE GYM! I also love that it's inviting for all students, staff, faculty, and best of all, THE COMMUNITY. |
